Anders Corr to speak on Squatting and Homelessness
Sunday, November 14, 1999 6pm
The Lucy Parsons Center
549 Columbus Avenue in the South End
617-267-6272

As the temperature drops people start to spend more time in their homes, but
what about people who don't have a home to go to? Action for survival is
called for and such actions, including squatting - the reclaiming of unused
property, often challenge notions of private property. In a new book from
South End Press "No Trespassing! Squatting, Rent Strikes, and Land Struggles
Worldwide" author Anders Corr examines the efforts people across the globe
have taken to provide for themselves.

The Lucy Parsons Center, Boston's collectively run radical bookstore, is
pleased to welcome Anders Corr on Sunday November 14th at 6pm. Anders will
read from and discuss his book; focusing on the battles and success of a
group of fired banana workers in Honduras and his experience with Homes Not
Jails San Francisco. There will be an open forum to discuss the ideas
raised by No Trespassing! and what can be done to apply them in
Massachusetts.

This event is free and open to the public. Please call 267-6272 for more
information
