For the last couple of years I have been interviewing arts
administrators and artists in the South/West of the United States
that have contributed in some fashion to the development of
blighted communities or areas. Besides the traditional arts
centers, I have met many directors and members of arts
incubators.

In general, these incubators seem to be very active in
getting funding not only from the federal government but also from
"consulting" they do for businesses (on how to be creative; creative
destruction) and schools, colleges and universities (on how to be
creative in the classroom).

I know there is a particular book out on
the history of arts incubators and creative destruction. I can't
remember the name/reference. Is anyone familiar with the book?
Has anyone encountered any research on the subject?

Thanks for any hints/comments/leads
