Hi everyone,

This isn't an issue about homelessness. But I came close to being on the
streets again. If this good news hadn't come I was comtemplating how I was
going to survive.

I was offered a job today with The Austin Project. It's a program that
helps families by working within the schools to give kids free coats,
lunches, and books and people free citizenship classes, eye exams, basic
computer classes, etc....

Although it's not a front line job it's a good start and I can actually
survive doing it.
check out http://www.theaustinproject.org/ for more information.

The woman who offered me the job attended a few sessions of the Grassroots
Media Conference here in Austin and said she was impressed and thought I'd
be a great asset to the organization.

I have an interview on Monday. Wish me luck!

Comrade
