We are writing to request your help with a situation here in southern
ontario, northern US.  We are seeking a place for a woman who is a
political refugee to stay, preferably in the area of upstate NY, as soon
as possible. She is trying to join her brother in Canada.  She has
convention refugee status in the States, and although very skilled, she
does not speak English, and cannot remain in the refugee centres where
she
has been placed because of persecution. Therefore, we are seeking a safe
house for her to stay for a little while.  If you can help in this
regard,
please write us at ocap@tao.ca, and we can discuss it further.  This is
an
urgent matter, as she may be evicted from her current location on
Nov.1st,
so if you have any ideas or contacts in the area (esp. buffalo or
detroit), please let us know.
