We have had 399 hits on our website since 08/23/98!!!! Clearly some are

listening and reacting and it feels like something good is happening!

We are a relatively new webiste with an ability to help the homeless
that depends on the ACTIVE participation ( takes only about 7 minutes)
of our informal membership. Will you help by encouraging all your
members to:
1) participate by printing and sending the prewritten letters
2) print out the followiing media release and submit it to their local
newspaper(s).
3) forward this email to absolutely everyone that you know. Encourage
them to participate.

The question has been asked "If we don't live in the Toronto area, What
is the point of sending the letters?". Our response to this question
can be found on the webiste under FAQ's, (#5 on the main menu) or by
going directly to url: http://www3.sympatico.ca/truegrowth/faq1.htm

Media Release follows signature.

Thank you in advance.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CSAR (Consolidation for Social Awareness and Responsibility) is an
internet based campaign supporting the homeless. We use the internet to

distribute prewritten letters designed to be easily printed out and
mailed (by regular mail) to select =93genesis=94 decision makers. Using th=
e

ready-made letters supplied on the website, one can vote to support the
homeless in about 7 minutes. Of course, you may also write your own
letters. Please use the names and addresses provided.

We strive to unite identified leaders of business, academia,
professionals, and politicians to use their
influence/resources/positions to effect an enduring, comprehensive, and
effective response to the homeless challenge. Instead of dealing with
the =93alligators=94 on an individual basis, is it possible to drain the
swamp? We note that we are not only interested in giving the challenged

a compassionate =93hand out=94; but, we are very interested in giving thos=
e

who want it a =93hand up=94.

Enthusiasm for CSAR stems from the belief that, for the first time, it
targets for involvement two invaluable groups of persons heretofore on
the periphery of this most humane cause:

1. Regular normal citizens - those people for whom the study of the
homeless is not a career or a professional interest but who have an
abiding interest in supporting the rights/privileges/safety/healing etc.

of the homeless/near homeless. People who are converted or near
conversion to our cause but wonder how they can help - simply.

2. Strategic Decision Makers - some of those people in positions of
power and influence by virtue of their personal/corporate/expert
successes who, when motivated ( by our many letters?), are already
strategically placed to lend us support for affecting public
awareness/opinion/action - on a profoundly tangible and effective
level. These are a sampling of the pivotal decision makers. They have,

by virtue of their positions, at their disposal, many skills and
management tools which have already been proven effective in their
respective professional activities and now we have an opportunity to
encourage them to use these same talents on behalf of the homeless.

WE ARE NOT just suggesting they can influence distribution of funds for
research, assistance programs and the like; although, we certainly laud
and welcome such valued additions to the cause. WE ARE also suggesting
that by engaging their support, we can come more quickly to the
=93critical mass=94 of attitude/opinion/resources needed for an enduring
success - with respect to the root causes. CSAR is quite different from
the other programs that we have seen offered to date. It does not
target the converted but
