PROUDLY ANNOUNCES OUR EXCITING EAST COAST EVENT

TOWARDS A FAIR ECONOMY: A MOVEMENT BUILDING CONFERENCE!

General Information

United for a Fair Economy proudly announces our end-of-the-
year East Coast event, Towards a Fair Economy: A
Movement Building Conference. This exciting event will take
place on December 5th and 6th 1998 in historic Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania at the Arch Street Meeting House on 4th and Arch
streets. Over 200 people involved in the struggle for
economic equality from across the Eastern seaboard and beyond
will gather together to take part in this event, which
promises education, inspiration, skills-building and action.
The event will feature inspiring speakers, informational and
skills-building workshops, energizing entertainment and
networking opportunities galore.

Mark your calendars to save the dates and plan to attend this
galvanizing gathering of people dedicated to building a fair
economy for all!

United for a Fair Economy's Conference

The event will kick off on Saturday, the 5th of December,
with an inspiring opening plenary, and will be followed up by
a day of informational and skills-building workshops on
various facets of the struggle for economic equality.
Saturday night, come prepared to enjoy an uproariously
entertaining evening with the Class Acts theater troupe as
they present a Comedy Cabaret guaranteed to leave you
laughing with their high octane humor and wicked good satire.
Sunday, the 6th of December, will be an intensive skills-
building day with United for a Fair Economy's training of
trainers sessions, featuring our various popular education
workshops, media skills training, and creative action
clinics. Ongoing throughout the event will be numerous
opportunities to network with others in your area and beyond,
sharing knowledge and experiences and building critical mass
for organizing.

Responsible Wealth's Conference

In addition, United for a Fair Economy's Responsible Wealth
Project will be holding its East Coast conference in
Philadelphia on Friday, December 4. Responsible Wealth is a
network of business leaders, investors and inheritors from
around the country who are concerned about the growing
economic inequality in our nation and are taking actions to
promote shared prosperity. The conference is for individuals
in the top 5% of income or wealth, and will include a Friday
evening reception for Philadelphia-area friends.

Accommodations for Both Conferences

United for a Fair Economy and Responsible Wealth have set
aside blocks of hotel rooms in the greater Philadelphia area
for your convenience in booking a room. The weekend of the
conference is the same weekend as the Army-Navy football game

set aside at your earliest convenience. There will be a
