Dear Friend,

Bikes Not Bombs is looking for office volunteers / interns. We are a
nonprofit organization working to achieve peace and social justice through
grassroots organizing, and promoting community-based education and
development projects involving recycled bicycles and other environmentally
sustainable transportation. We have been sending recycled bicycles
overseas (first to Nicaragua, now also to Haiti and the Dominican Republic)
for fourteen years, and have operated a Bicycle Recycling and Youth
Training Center in Roxbury's Egleston-Jackson neighborhood since 1994.
Volunteer duties can include helping us maintain and build our extensive
mailing list, responding (by phone, mail, or email) to information
inquiries, coordinating the pickup of donated bicycles, and helping to
organize public events. Volunteers can suggest other duties which would
suit their skills and inclinations. Hours are very flexible. We would
welcome anyone sincerely intersted -- from high school students to
senior citizens.

For more information, please contact us:

Sincerely,

Alejandro Reuss
