As a Communist I must speak up on this issue.

I agree with the idea of "all power to the people."

However disgusting some of Clinton's policies have
been, it is important to remember that a veto-proof
Republican majority, headed by the likes of
Gingrich or one of his cronies, would be MUCH
worse. Right-wing Republicans are the ones,
remember, who are behind the assault on the current
administration -- why? To get rid of it, so they can
REALLY begin to attack Medicare, Social
Security, union rights, education, etc.

Right now, on the ground, to oppose not only
the Republicans but ALSO all Democratic
candidates (including the progressive ones)
is very counterproductive, and in fact is
tantamount to cutting off our noses. So I
strongly disagree with the "Fuck-em-all"
approach.

It is critically important to get out tomorrow
and vote, and defeat the right wing, so we
can be in a better position to fight for a
better kind of society. This election is
very important -- it could very well determine
whether, 5 or 10 years from now, whether
we have a bourgeois democracy, or a
far-right or fascist government. And under
fascism, or something like fascism, we are
REALLY screwed. Get out the vote!!!!!
