Hi. Unless you're already subscribed to NucNews (see below), or have
recently signed the petition for global nuclear disarmament outside the
White House, you probably haven't heard from us lately. I'm sending this
to 3,500 people whose email addresses we've been given during the past few
years. Given the current state of the world, we think it's important to
let you know:

* The Peace Park Antinuclear Vigil continues, an island of discourse in a
sea of police, and has grown more effective by the recent addition of new
volunteers. This was helpful when First-Vigiler Thomas was arrested on
April 23rd when NATO came to Washington, D.C.

* DC's congresswoman, Eleanor Holmes Norton, has agreed to re-introduce the
Nuclear Disarmament and Economic Conversion Act" for the fourth time.

* Meanwhile, NATO continues to bomb Yugoslavia with weapons made from
depleted uranium.

All this information and more about recent and future activities, how you
can help, and how you can subscribe to NucNews Briefs or full articles, are
easily accessible on our home page. Here are a few of the links off

depleted uranium in the Balkans and work toward abolition of nuclear
weapons worldwide.
