Two groups that research and advocate civil rights in the USA are the
*American Civil Liberties Union http://www.aclu.org/ and the
*National Coalition for the Homeless http://www2.ari.net/home/nch/wwwhome.html

National Law Center On Homelessness and Poverty http://www.nlchp.org/
is good source for research.  Recently this advocacy group published a
report on homeless people's civil rights in the USA, titled MEAN SWEEPS.
