Andrea-Zephyr, what an excellent and heart felt response you wrote
regarding my forwarded "hate post" on Usenet.  I hope others on HPN will
reply, especially to your ideas about "power over", militarism and how
unbridled greed crimps compasionate action toward inclusive and peaceful
communities, where all have enough to survive and reap life's blessings.

I and other HPNers have written some posts distinguishing "power over"
(chain of command), "power with" (voluntary consensual group action) and
"power to" (individual autonomously chosen action).  If any folks saved
posts from that thread, consider resending them as part our discussion on
how to respond to hate talk.
