NATIONAL SUMMIT ON HOMELESSNESS May 1-4, Washington, D.C.

[Sponsored by the National Coalition for the Homeless, this is probably the
most influential annual advocacy conference on homelessness in the USA.
Michael Stoops of NCH aims to help 100 people who are homeless or
ex-homeless to attend.

To that end, some SCHOLARSHIPS are available. The deadline to send in
scholarship applications is APRIL 1. If you can car-pool rather than fly,
or cover part of the costs, that would help more low-income people to

To CONTACT Michael Stoops about the conference and shcolarships, EMAIL
<nch@ari.net>, PHONE (202) 737-6444 or FAX (202) 737-6445.

I urge every person who's been homeless and every Homeless People's Network
listmember who can to attend. Join with us who are forming a "HOMELESS
CUACUS" there to project our priorities at the conference.

Will this conference help to effect the policy changes we homeless folk
want? No, unless we go and make sure homeless people's voices are heard
and heeded.

Will we win income, housing and our civil rights? Let's caucus in DC May
1-4 and talk about HOW.

Seeking peaceful means to homeless people's aims.
