Position Announcement

Interfaith Homeless and Housing Coalition
A project of Ecumenical Ministries of Oregon

Part-time  12 months temporary
(potential for full time, regular employment)

The Mission of the Interfaith Homeless and Housing Coalition is to provide
communities of faith in Multnomah County with a forum and resources for
organizing, information sharing and advocacy regarding housing and homeless

The Coordinator will assist the Advisory Board with the following tasks:

Coordinate Advisory Board and full Coalition meetings
Publish newsletters and action alerts
Write reports on
  1. what communities of faith are currently doing, who they are serving,
current and future / potential collaborations and partnerships, and future
goals relating to collaborations
  2. current information and referral systems currently used by homeless
people and recommendations for improvement
  3. continuation of the Coalition after current funding run outs
Make public presentations to communities of faith regarding homeless and
housing issues
Develop advocacy agenda

Experience working on homeless / housing issues and / or with communities of
faith important.  Good writing and organizational skills also needed.
