Applications are requested from citizens interested in serving on the Lane
County Intergovernmental Housing Policy Board.  Application forms are
available at the following locations:  (1) The Lane County Board of
Commissioners' Office, located on the Plaza Level of the Public Service
Building at 125 E. Eighth Avenue, Eugene;  (2) The Housing Authority and
Community Services Agency at 177 Day Island Road, Eugene;  (3) The City of
Springfield, Development Services Department, 225 Fifth Street,
Springfield;  (4) The City of Eugene, Planning and Development, 99 West
Tenth Avenue, Eugene.  For additional information, or to request

HOUSING POLICY BOARD: The Intergovernmental Housing Policy Board acts as a
forum for public input into the community issues of homelessness and
affordable housing.  It reviews low-income housing issues and makes policy,
funding, and other recommendations regarding affordable housing to Eugene,
Springfield and Lane County governments.

MEETING: Monthly, or as necessary.

MEMBERSHIP:  Overall board membership consists of one representative for
Lane County Board of Commissioners; one representative from Springfield
City Council; one representative from Eugene City Council; five citizen
at-large members; and ex-officio members as appropriate.  One at-large
position is reserved for a low-income representative.

VACANCIES: One at-large position.  Housing Policy Board terms are for two
years, with a maximum that an individual can serve of three terms.  This
vacancy is due to a resignation.  The term will end in January 2000 but can
be re-appointed.

June 4, 1999 to the Board of Commissioners' Office, 125 E. 8th Avenue,
