Workshop Announcement:

Creative Action in Your Congregation, with Jorge Díaz and Steve Wilson

An original and engaging workshop in which participants learn to apply the
tactics and techniques of creative direct actions, media stunts and street
theater to their ongoing organizing work. Shows you how to get your message
across in powerful, creative ways, and to spice up your campaign with humor
and symbolism.

Come join us for the above workshop and many other informative workshops
and presentations at United for a Fair Economy's upcoming interfaith
conference, "Putting Your Values into Action: A Religious Response to
Growing Inequality."  The workshop will be held on June 12 and 13 at Gasson
Hall in Boston College, and will address how people of faith can work to
create greater economic equality.  Along with Kim Bobo, the executive
director of the Interfaith Coalition for Workplace Justice, we will have
the Hon. Byron Rushing, David Bryden, Charles Derber, Ruth Messinger,
Jeffrey Brown, Jeffrey Dekro, Felice Yeskel, Chuck Collins and others
giving workshops and presentations.  Issues addressed will include the wage
gap, welfare, responsible investment, the Jubilee 2000 movement,
