SANTA CRUZ: ANTI-PANHANDLER ORDINANCES VIDEO

This video documents the first three weeks of demonstrations following the
inception of what some have called the "most restrictive anti-panhandling"
ordinances in the nation.

Produced by Paul R. Brindel, a program director at the Community Action
Board of Santa Cruz County, Inc. and a local talk show host, the one-hour
video documents efforts by civil libertarians and homeless activists to
pressure the Santa Cruz City Council to repeal all or some of the
ordinances.

It includes footage of a violent confrontation between police and
demonstrators which resulted in some injuries. While local politicians have
not changed their minds, they have indicated a willingness to continue the
dialogue concerning the downtown area, aggressive panhandling, and the
specific ordinances.

All profits go to the Shelter Project of the Community Action Board of
Santa Cruz Co., Inc.

To order: make checks payable to Paul R. Brindel, 2081 Chanticleer Ave.,
Santa Cruz, CA 95062. 408-476-5752.

$20. plus $2.90 Priority Mail, 2 to 3 weeks for delivery.
