Josef is a pompous poo-poo head, and his abstract and impersonal
perspective seems to embrace "the whole" of a community (and treats
individuals as "resources").  

I picked the excerpt in reply to Ledru's asserting that a citizen's "job" 
is to crap all over public decorum.  Sometimes, sure, but surely not
"job-one". 

Tolerance is a step towards rejoicing at our neighbours' shockingly
different values.  

My idea of a good time is being in the company of people who're having a
good time being in my company... 

... and you can quote me on that.
