Utah Issues is seeking two full-time VISTA (Volunteers in Service To
America) to facilitate the development of community development
initiatives in two rural Utah communities, including Heber Valley and
Emery County. This project aims to build the capacity of community
members to resolve poverty using locally-developed and controlled
strategies. The Heber Valley project is currently working on creating a
Community Land Trust to create affordable housing in their area.

The VISTAs will work closely with local community leadership and Utah
Issues staff. The two positions will be continuing project work from
previous VISTA Volunteers. The two projects are at different stages in
their development and have similar, as well as, unique goals.
