DEMONSTRATE AGAINST PLANNED HOMELESSNESS

On Monday, June 1st at 9:00 a.m., members and supporters of the
Ontario Coalition Against Poverty (OCAP) will be rallying at the Salvation
Army Hostel, 37 Dundas St. East. This hostel, thanks to local
'progressive' councilor Kyle Rae and businesses in the downtown core, has
had its funding cut by the City of Toronto and will be closing the morning
of June 1st. Kyle Rae and local businesses feel that housing the homeless
is a threat to developers and
businesses.
The rally, at approximately 10:00 a.m., will be marching to Kyle
Rae's office to demand that he change his opposition to housing the
homeless of our community.
OCAP can be reached at 416-925-6939.

PLEASE CIRCULATE THIS INFORMATION. When even the services offered by the
Salvation Army is under attack, the system really is at war with the poor.

END FORWARD
