5.8 billion people, $5.8 trillion spent on nukes

Dear Abolitionists,


You know, of course, that we now know the U.S. has spent $5.8 trillion on nuclear weapons (per the Brookings Institute and last week's Washington Post).  Did you also hear on last night's news that there are $5.8 billion people now?  That works out to a nice round $1,000 that the U.S. has squandered on nuclear weapons for every man, woman, and child on earth.
