request for information

Dear HPN group,

I must say I am a little disappointed not to have recieved any feedback
from you all on an information request I posted last week. Everyone seems
to be full of ideas and I had expected a wealth of ideas. (as that is the
only kind of wealth most of us have)

Here we have the opportunity to dictate to a group of attorneys and other
service providers what it is we would like to know about the system as it
currently exists, how to change it, or anything based in legalities; and
no one has responded.

This is most likely my fault in that I probably didn't provide sufficent
information. So I will try again.

What I am trying to do is develop a community education series that will be
presented by attorneys to homeless individuals and sometimes to service
providers concerning any and all kinds of legal issues. In developing this
series I want to get the most imput I can from individuals who have been or
currently are homeless. This is my desire in that I know that my
experience is not the same as yours and in that you see things from a
slightly different perspective you will have differnt ideas and input.
This is important so that we come up with information that is the most
helpful it can be to the homeless community as a whole.

Please take a moment to consider this issue. We are being given the
opportunity, for free, to pick the brains of people who generally get paid
$100+ for just an hour of their time. This is a way to educate our
community in the ways of the system, ways around the system and then ways
to change the system.

Thank you for taking the time to read this message. Now I ask that you
please respond!

Cindy
