I have read of the egregious attempt to prosecute (as well as persecute)
some members of Food Not Bombs in Worchester, for the simple, humane
gesture of feeding the poorest of the poor, as well as any hungry person,
with hot, vegan, well-prepared meals.
I believe the City, through this decision, may be hiding behind what
**sounds** like an interest in public protection...strange way to do
that...if plentiful, clean, hot vegetarian food were available through
City venues, FnB might have no such hunger need to answer...is it
possible the City thinks that by eliminating the actions of FNB, they
will also disguise the plight of the hungry in this, and other, cities?
I protest this ill-conceived action by Worchester, and fully support the
actions of the FNB defendants.
The City should be ashamed.
