HOMELESS CIVIL RIGHTS

As a once-homeless person myself, I can fully see where those
anti-homeless laws are coming in full swing. As a 16-year old girl in
New York City, I personally witnessed NYC Policemen taking off their
badges and putting them in their pockets in order to abuse homeless
people without being reported for it! Now, many years later, I am as
apalled as ever each time I hear a new story on violence towards
homeless, or new anti-homeless acts being passed in each passing city...

It is irrational and irresponsible for the government and the
governmental supporters to consider these as any thing other than folly!
The homeless of America are victims of life, and should not be penalized
by their own country for it.

I have only within the past few years gotten to the point that I have
lived in a house, and am still trying for the opportunity to have a true
home of my own. It is a long, hard road that many homeless do not have
open to them at the present.

Personally, I think that the National Coalition for the Homeless is the
best thing that has happened for us in a very long time!

Sincerely,
Savannah
