Meow to you too:)
Major cat person here.
My cats generally lick my feet, hair or hands. Max (my current cat)
started doing this when he was very tiny. I mean, I would wake up to find
him lying on my hair and giving it a bath.
Its grooming behavior, of course and is something that a cat will do to
show caring and acceptance. You are part of his pride. I always take it as
a high compliment. Smoky sounds like a very sweet cat:)
