RUMORMAVEN

And now, for something completely different...

Tell it to RumorMaven@aol.com.

When we first heard of the Drudge Report, we thought it was about
housework. But, no, the Drudge Report is a rumor-based Internet
distributed right-wing publication, which is credited with starting
the media frenzy of Zippergate. Matt Drudge, who puts out the report,
claims about 80% accuracy of the "news" he promulgates, and the
mainstream media seem to think that's a pretty good number, and are
running with this bogus info and other rumors.

But a WOC member has decided that "what's good for the goose is good
for the gander." So she has started a much-needed service, where
folks can send any rumors and innuendo that they have on the
right-wing. And she promises to turn these leads over to the media.

So -- tell it to RumorMaven@aol.com. Got good gossip? Tell it to
RumorMaven@aol.com. The only rule -- it has to meet the same criteria
the right-wing uses (as described in "Doonesbury"), "it could be
true."

Here's an example, directly from RumorMaven. "A woman (shamefacedly)
confessed to me that she got drunk and slept with Rush. She tells us
that his last name should really be `Limp-baugh.'"

Got more? Tell it to RumorMaven@aol.com
