Hi gang,
I just read the post forwarded by Tom about PETA giving furs to the
homeless. that is so hypocritical! these people are supposed to be
against the wearing of furs, and here they are encouraging people to
wear them. I am also totally against the wearing of fur. I won't even
allow ivory in my place. True, they can't bring the animals back, but by
giving the furs to the homeless, they are only supporting poaching,
resulting the further decline of endangered species. I also feel that
they are using the homeless to further their cause. In addition, there
have been stories of people being attacked for wearing fur. What if that
happened to a homeless person who was wearing a fur? Homeles people's
lives are already in danger simply by virtue of the fact that they are
on the street. Why put their lives in more jepoardy? No, I totally
disagree with PETA's actions. Surely, they can find other ways to
highlight their cause. What do the rest of you think?
