If you are concerned whether any Microsoft product you use is Y2K
compliant, there is a place you can find out.

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/year2k/product/product.asp

will search for you on any product you select, and report its Y2K
compliant status. If it has any glitches, the report will tell you
where thay are and provide links to patches.

I began to panic last night when I was checking a friend's PC. After
doing a backup and then verifying that individual programs (including
the customer routing application I wrote for him) handled four digit
dates just fine, including the year 2000, I went to the DOS cammand line
and attempted to change the date.

I entered 01-01-00
The system said "Invalid date"

Yikes! I thought -- Y2K bug!

But when I searched on the page listed above, I found that this is not a
major glitch. Entering the date as 01-01-2000 works just fine.

So go check it out for yourself, reassure yourself that your PC's are
ready for the new millennium, and kick back to enjoy it.

Personally, I'm excited.
