is an open letter to the disabled and displaced citizens of New =
Hampshire,and America we live in uncertain times as far as our rights =
go,and the protection of them has been erroded by callous law makers and =
a governor whom apparently has never seen any one die from malnutrition =
or exposure from the elements .We are constantly being cast as "disabled =
and delusional"or "displaced and dirty".Perhaps not in that exact =
context but one very similar,and very discriminatory by the very persons =
whom we elected to serve in our best interest.
 I am very much afraid that I have to remove any endorsement that my =
vote might have had from the presant lady governor because she has =
really not accomplished any of the goals she swore to do at the outset =
of her campaign,does anybody feel more secure in the disabled community =
about what has been done by our governor?
 As a matter of fact I sent you a 8 page action plan that was initiated =
by San Francisco,s Coalition on
Homelessness to end homelessness,this was done by the homeless and some =
advocates who really care about ending homelessness in our life =
time.....what are your plans for us the disabled and displaced ignore us =
hope we will go away?
 I am issueing a challange to the law makers in both the senate and the =
house to pass a bill that will fund the NH Homeless Coalition that is =
listed in Websters State of New Hampshires directory,but oddly enough it =
is defunct untill you free up some of that 9 million dollars money that =
can be and is supposed to be used for the poor and disabled persons of =
the state!!Because right now and from what I heard there is no money =
available untill 2001?Who is abusing the disabled and displaced ,why I =
have not got a clue do you governor?Mr. President William Jefferson =
Clinton can you tell me who has really commited themselves to ending =
discimination and setting up classes in schools that will re-educate the =
children to be more compassionate,and less callous towards these two =
groups of peoples,its called human rights,yes you have heard of it =
good...Now do something about it thank you!=20
 If that is correct how many homeless persons will die from hypothermia =
in the next two years and from  lack of a proper diet or a lack of =
medical attention due to no money to see a doctor or to be treated?
 I know that you might not like to be told things that are so very =
visible to you if you only would look around and see the man or woman =
that is looking a bit rumpled,and ragged around the edges with the sign =
will work for food or whom has just asked "spare a nickle,dime,or a =
quarter anything",because yes=20
New Hampshire and America these are your brothers and sisters too...and =
they desrve a better lot in life than one to freeze and die in the =
streets with out a roof over their heads or  a warm meal in there=20
stomachs.
 Some of these persons are to proud to ask for assistance from  state or =
city government,and these are the ones we must be able to reach in time, =
before they are just another name in the obituary columns!
 So I am requesting that you our senators and elected officials all =
across the state and country give the gift of life by passing out some =
of that money to make that disabled persons life a bit better,or that =
displaced person with the haunted look in their eyes[from a lack of =
sleep and food and worry]because they can,t feed their families...You =
who can make a difference in our lives for god,s sake do it by alloting =
monies to the organizations  that really need it to save life,catch the =
spirit and lets keep this spirit alive untill not one woman,man,or child =
is cold,tired,homeless,or discriminated against by bias that we all know =
starts and ends at home!
 I am a disabled and former homeless person who is registered as a voter =
[independant] and I exercise my right to vote,and if I don,t see a vast =
improvement in the agenda of the candidates and locals who want to keep =
their jobs I am afraid that we shall have to really ask the voters who =
are not being helped the displaced and disabled to vote these scoundrels =
out....
 So any how thats a tall request, but it can be done and with 220,000 =
disabled and displaced persons in New Hampshire alone we can and shoud =
oust the people who have not done anything but feather their own nest =
and forgot us along the way...
 We are tired of getting scraps while others eat surf and turf,don,t you =
 think its time people to throw these bums out?
 And if you politicians want to do something for your fellow man I have =
started a NHHomeless@egroups.com ,and we need a store front do-drop-in =
big enough to house at lest 10 adults in the local area.And yes I have =
been in touch with Mr. Michael Stoops National Coalition on Homelessness =
from Washington,DC he said I should get in touch with a Mr.Paul Haskell =
at pdhaskell@aol.com     which I have done but have not yet got word =
back from him...
 So I hope that every one is healthy and happy  and wants to share some =
of that spirit  with the guy that just fell a sleep in an alley,or =
boxcar,or just died waiting for his government disability check to come =
through the mail..I wonder have you got the Christmas spirit yet?
