October 22nd Coalition to Stop Police Brutality
JAN 7 6:30 PM
REAL CHANGE Office
2129 2ND AVE
Downtown Seattle

On October 22nd, 1997, the second national day of protest to STOP
POLICE BRUTALITY involved thousands in 50 cities. A statement of
unity signed by over 250 individuals and organizations called for
exposing the current phase in the ongoing national epidemic of police
violence and murder. Those involved came from diverse
backgrounds. Most important was the large number of dead victims'
families present. Through this demonstration, much unity has been
forged. Come join this growing movement and be part of the effort to
bring police brutality into public awareness and make plans for 1998.
