the following:

ACCESS Grantees
ACCESS (Access to Community Care and Effective Services and Supports) is a
national demonstration project on services integration strategies for
homeless persons with serious mental illnesses. The Center for Mental Health
Services is sponsoring the demonstration. Eighteen sites in nine states are
participating in the project. The National Resource Center arranges on-site
consultations for these sites.

CMHS/CSAT Prevention Grantees

The CMHS/CSAT Collaborative Program to Prevent Homelessness is a three-year
Knowledge Development and Application (KDA) initiative designed to document
and evaluate effective homelessness prevention strategies for adults who are
formerly homeless or at risk for becoming homeless. The National Resource
Center provides on-site consultation, conducts site visits, arranges grantee
meetings and provides other technical assistance as needed.

CMHS Adolescent Program Grantees

The CMHS Adolescent Program grantees are addressing the needs of homeless
adolescents at risk of homelessness who are making the transition from the
children's to the adult mental health system. The program's ultimate goal is
to prevent homelessness as a result of difficulty in making this transition.
The National Resource Center facilitates approved technical assistance
requests.

The National Resource Center Organizes Training Institutes

The National Resource Center organizes a variety of time-limited, training
sessions on topics related to homelessness and mental illness. Recent
Training Institutes have focused on topics such as "Co-Occurring Mental
Health and Substance Use Disorders: Emerging Models of Integrated Treatment
for Persons Who Are Homeless" and "Clinical Approaches to Working With
Homeless Mentally Ill Individuals."

Provides Telephone and E-Mail Technical Assistance

National Resource Center staff provides telephone technical assistance to
policy makers, service providers, government officials, consumers and
researchers on a wide variety of matters such as drafting a service plan for
a Multi-Service Center or locating local energy assistance resources to
developing supportive housing programs or organizing a training on rural
mental health issues. Staff can be reached at the National Resource Center's
