1998 REVITALIZATION OF CITIES INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE
The 1998 Sustainable Urban Neighborhoods Conference will be held
October 15-17, 1998. The goal of the conference is to bring together
planners, city officials, community activists, and other interested
community members to address the issues of sustainable neighborhoods
in America's inner cities. The conference will include a presentation
of successes realized through the Enterprise Community of Louisville.
Through a unique, bold, and unprecedented partnership involving
Federal and City HUD, University of Louisville Sustainable Urban
Neighborhoods, churches, businesses, and community groups, the rebirth
of a disadvantaged neighborhood has occurred. This work has resulted
in solving some of the most challenging problems facing the Russell
community.
