Organizing to defeat anti-homeless initiatives

To all,

 As veteran of the shelter system where i am
currently residing once again. I found it
increasingly agitating to hear the states mainly
California and New York are using the trend of
anti-homeless initiatives in hopes to please the

 I too have felt this impact on the shelter here in
Ann Arbor, we fought long and hard for the National
Guard Armory for a better and bigger shelter to house
the ever increasing population of homeless men and

 But like in every other city the homeless here were
not considered a "major concern" in matter of fact
such phrases as "undesirables" were used many of
times in city council meetings, but that hadn't

 They same thing is going to have to apply in
defeating this "Zero Tolerance" proposition and the
shutting down of Armories in California to get the
homeless out of the city limits. 

 Thus must not happen. The Homeless Power Union is
trying really hard to get a chapter in California
organized. It is crucial that the homeless unite as
one power to defend their rights to have decent and
adequate shelter. We must not let these cities use
the police in a manner in which would threaten the
lives of thsoe people fighting to survive with little
there is to begin with.

 A moevement must be built and lead by those that are
willing to lead the fight directly yo defend the
rights of homeless men and women all over our nation.
It is becoming more and more critical everyday.

 We must open peoples eyes to what society is really
doing to this rapidly growing population of people.
We must educate the masses on what is needed to
effeciently dismantle homelessness bit by bit. It can
be done, it take a momentous struggle, but it can be
