How about making sure to spending the whole dollar ear marked for =
helping homelessness,on the homeless, rather than only 6-8 cents of =
these dollars being directly used towards helping?

CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - Programs around New Hampshire that help the =
homeless will benefit from a $2 million federal grant going to the state =
Department of Health and Human Services.

Nicholas Toumpas, the department's acting commissioner, says =
homelessness continues to be a challenge in New Hampshire because of an =
ongoing housing squeeze.

The state will distribute the grant to local programs providing =
transitional and permanent housing, intervention, and shelter care.

The state previously received a half million dollar federal grant to be =
used for short-term assistance to homeless people.
