TAMPA - Officials will open shelters tonight in Hillsborough, Pinellas =
and Pasco counties for the homeless and those who don't have adequate =
heat in their homes. All will provide meals.

Temperatures on Thursday morning are forecast to be near freezing and to =
feel like about 30 degrees with the wind chill.

The Hillsborough County shelters are:

.Salvation Army, 1514 N. Florida Ave. This shelter is only for adults =
and opens after 4 p.m.

.Metropolitan Ministries, 2010 N. Florida Ave. This shelter is for =
families and opens after 4 p.m.

.Good Samaritan Mission at Bethune Park, 5809 Edina St, Wimauma. This =
shelter is for adults and families and opens at 6 p.m.

They will remain open until 8 a.m.

In Pinellas the shelters will accept people all night starting between 6 =
and 6:30 p.m. and close about 6 a.m. Thursday. Breakfast will be =
provided.

The Pinellas shelters are:

.St. Cecilia's Catholic Church, 820 Jasmine Way, Clearwater

.First United Methodist Church of Tarpon Springs, 501 E. Tarpon Ave., =
Tarpon Springs

.Salvation Army of St. Petersburg, 1400 Fourth St. S., St. Petersburg

.The Turning Point, 1801 Fifth Ave. N., St Petersburg

.Northwest Presbyterian Church, 6300 54th Ave. N., St. Petersburg

The Pasco County shelters are:

.First United Methodist Church, 5901 Indiana Ave., New Port Richey. =
Guests will be allowed in starting at 4:30 p.m. and remain open until 8 =
a.m. Thursday. The shelter also will be open Thursday night. Volunteers =
are sought to staff the shelter. Call (727) 236-2322 or (727) 243-1367.

.Holy Ground Homeless Shelter, 8835 Denton Ave., Hudson will be open, as =
usual, and provide additional cold-weather spaces, as needed.

.Community Chapel Church of God, 5320 First St., Zephyrhills. Doors open =
at 6 p.m.
