more stories like this
Twenty-five-year-old Jarad Greeley of Jay and 28-year-old Marshall Berry =
of New Hampshire plan to travel to Georgia and begin the more than =
2,000-mile trek to Maine on March 8.

Greeley said the four- to five-month hike may seem long, but it's minor =
compared with the number of homeless veterans that he and Berry are =
trying to help.

The hike is being sponsored by former officers of the Veterans of =
Foreign Wars post in Jay, who will conduct fundraisers. They're also =
contacting VFWs along the route to suggest that they give the hikers a =
hot meal or put them up for the night.
