$1 million donation for homeless

By Online staff

The sister of late Winnipeg pharmacist Saul Sair donated $1 million on his
behalf this morning to Siloam Mission, an inner-city drop-in centre for the
poor and homeless.

The money from Sair's estate will be used to establish an on-site medical
clinic.

Saul died in 2003 and worked as a pharmacist for 50 years.

Siloam provides meals to 2,000 homeless people each week.

Officials are calling it the largest donation ever to help the homeless in
Winnipeg.
