KANSAS: COURT OPENS PAROLEE RECORDS July 13, 2002
Prison officials must make more parolees' records available to the public,
including information on any new crimes the parolees have been charged with
since their release, the state's highest court has ruled.
In a unanimous decision, the State Supreme Court sided with The Wichita Eagle in
a three-year legal battle with the Department of Corrections. (AP)
This shift will have a drastic affect on "those called homeless" in the job and
housing markets if it continues accross the country.
Are there other places that are lowering the guard in this issues too?
What is your opinion on this?
