DALLAS --
Hot showers, beds to sleep in and TVs to watch.

It was all a reality on Christmas for about 150 homeless people in Dallas.
And it was all courtesy of one self-employed man.
Mark Pfeiffer and his Homey Syndicate paid for the rooms at a Dallas Hyatt
Regency hotel. The price tag -- about $7,000 for 70 rooms, out of Pfeiffer's
own pocket.
Pfeiffer tells the Dallas Morning News he wants homeless people to get
first-class treatment at least one day a year.
It's the sixth year Pfeiffer and his group have paid for rooms for the
homeless.
