<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt;Legal Update
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt;OCAP Organizer, John Clarke's bail hearing will take place in Oshawa this
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt;Thursday, June 21st (or possibly, Friday, June 22nd- this will be
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt;confirmed).
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt;OCAP member, Sean Lee Popham's bail hearing will occur this Thursday, June
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt;21st. Both hearings will be held at the courthouse on 252 King St. W. in
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt;Oshawa.
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt;CAW Flying Squad member Ewin Gibb and OCAP member Gian Mura were both
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt;released this weekend on their own recongnizance, following their
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt;arrests on Friday, June 15th, en route to the Christie Pitts rally.
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt;OCAP organizer, Sue Collis, who was re-arrested after she spoke at the
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt;Christie Pitts rally on June 15th, will have her bail hearing in Toronto
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt;Monday morning, June 18th at the College Park courthouse (Yonge &amp;
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt;College).
<DIV></DIV>&gt; Sue's bail hearing has been put over until Friday, June 22,
<DIV></DIV>&gt; College Park courthouse, room 501, College and Yonge Sts.
<DIV></DIV>&gt; Court starts at 10:00 am, but you never know when she will
<DIV></DIV>&gt; appear. Today, Monday June 18, Sue did not appear until
<DIV></DIV>&gt; 3:00 pm.
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt;It should be noted that Sue Collis had asked at her first bail hearing in
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt;Oshawa earlier that week if she would be in violation of her bail
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt;conditions by speaking at the June 15th rally. The Justice of the Peace
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt;clearly stated that she would not. Her subsequent arrest for breaching
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt;bail conditions as she departed the rally is the most clear indication yet
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt;that OCAP has graduated in the eyes of the authorities from the status of
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt;painful irritant to that of political liability.
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt;As always OCAP will continue organizing undetered and unrepetent. Please
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt;pledge financial support for our members' and organizers' legal costs- it
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt;is needed desperately.
