Today, Wednesday, June 13, at 3:30 PM Pacific Time, Alan Bock is
(tentatively) scheduled for an interview on Talk/News Radio station KRLA
AM 870.  The subjects will be California's Three-Strikes Law and Bock's
recently published book "Waiting to Inhale."  The program will be hosted
by the original George Putnam.

Alan Bock is the Senior Editorial Writer for the Orange County
Register.  He will be the Featured Special Guest Speaker at the next
public meeting of the Coalition Against Violent Crime two weeks from
today, Wednesday, June 27, at 6:30 PM, in the Southwest Senior Citizens
Center located at 2215 West McFadden Avenue (at Center Street) in
southwest Santa Ana.  Bock will bring copies of his book to sell and
autograph.  Admission and parking for the meeting are free.

The Coalition Against Violent Crime is an educational,  non-profit
(501c3) corporation dedicated to educating the public about California's
Three-Strikes Law.  The Coalition sponsors monthly public meetings on
the fourth Wednesday of each month at the Southwest Senior Citizens
Center.  Orange County Superior Court Judge James P. Gray was the guest
speaker in May, and Orange County Public Defender Carl Holmes was the
guest speaker in April.

Citizens Against Violent Crime is a California Political Action
Committee dedicated to amending California's Three-Strikes Law to apply
ONLY to violent and serious felonies.  It sponsored an initiative for
the November, 2000, ballot and is now preparing an initiative for the
November, 2002, ballot.
