After a quarter of a million tax dollars invested, and endless promises made; 
Mayor Williams’ administration has yet again decided that adequate housing 
for those in need doesn’t “fit-in” to plans to gentrify the city.  For women 
housed in dilapidated trailers downtown, this means that the city government 
has taken away the building that was designated for them, in order to create 
luxury condos.  This means they still face nights without adequate 

Housing is a right, not a privilege!  It’s time to take action!

Join Homes Not Jails and other organizations for a demonstration and direct 
action to make this city government keep its promise of real housing for 
these women.  If the city can evict them, it can evict you!

When: Thursday, June 14th at 12 pm

Where: Meet at Open Door Shelter, at 4th and L St. NW.
