released

Homeless Management Information & Tracking Systems: An In-Depth Look
================================

We are pleased to announce the completion of the HUD funded report
_Homeless Management Information Systems: An In-Depth Look_ by the
Center for Social Policy, McCormack Institute, University of
Massachusetts at Boston.

The FY 2001 report, which includes a technical review of several
leading software products, an analysis of the costs involved in
operating these systems, and a review of the data elements collected
by available software products is available for downloading at:
http://www.mccormack.umb.edu/Centers/SocPol/CSP_site/csp_tech.htm
OR
http://www.egroups.com/files/homelessamerica/
OR
http://www.egroups.com/files/georgia_homeless/

This publication should be useful to all Continuum of Care Groups as
they work toward meeting Congress' mandate for providing an
unduplicated count of homeless services users by 2003. An earlier
report, _Homeless Services Tracking System - An Implementation Guide_
is available too.

If you have a relevant website, please link these reports to your
site. There is a great deal of interest in this Homeless topic, and we
are attempting to achieve broad distribution. Please feel free to
contact us if you have any questions or comments.
