Anybody in Torrance, California have ideas for how to handle this? I'm
disgusted -- the public libraries here in Seattle at least understand
their role in making the internet publically accessible, even if they do
get nimby about homeless people occasionally. But I don't know who in
Torrance to contact to organize public pressure for *their* libraries to
be more accessible.

a friend of mine is living in torrance, california for three months with her
mother. she is paralyzed and gets around with a wheelchair and her equipped
van. (she is there for medical treatment.)

she went to the torrance library one week to send mail to her phoenix
friends. the next time an employee approached her as she was going to the
yahoo or hotmail site (i think) and said the computers cannot be used for

do you have any suggestions?
