weeellll folks'
don't discriminate, make us a "class" of our own. this concept of
needing special laws just for the poor n homeless is crazy. the laws we have
now against assault and murder are plenty. it's the 80% of our laws
protecting property that is killing us. this separation into individual
protected status will get us arm bands and triangles, pinned to our hair
suits. i've been a hippy for long enough to remember beatins for long hair.
had it occur not more than two months ago. but feel that i need or want the
gov to protect me as a class never entered my mind.
as to this biz of violence in the homeless community where did this
idea that it was ever in controll come from?
the streets have always been mean. another thing, most crime is committed by
teens and young adults. by thirty most crime carreers are over. people grow
up and have kids and stop hangin on the testosterone corners. and what was
the class of the perpetrators ,other poor folk? makin a protected class of
fifty percent of the population (opoor folks) would be difference without
distinction.
let us, instead of begging the wrong people for protection, organize
ourselves into a political force. we have been lobbying reno means some one
is livin on money in dc that someone cou;ld eat on. lobbyists are scum on
the bottom of the barrell.
