[HPN] RENTWATCHERS - How contact similar groups in San Francisco? FWD

Hey Andrew-

I think all of us who rent in San Francisco feel "beleaguered," if
not outright endangered. The San Francisco Tenant's Union is a
long-established resource for tenants fighting evictions and forcing
landlords to make repairs. They also have strong associations with
Homes Not Jails - a direct action housing rights group. They have a
membership fee, but it's reasonable: about $20/yr. Their url is:

http://www.sftu.org/

(I have it bookmarked just so I can watch the animated graphic. It
makes me giggle.)

There's also a newer local outfit called Eviction Defense Network.
Their email is

evictiondefense@yahoo.com

Hope this helps.

Peace,
chance martin
