One more thing:

I'd love to know how you can so blithely make such a statement w/o knowing
what Dear ol' Dad is really like. For all you know he may well be the very
reason that this kid and his mom found themselves out on the Atlantic in the
first place. Somehow I doubt that residents of Cuba are any more immune to
domestic abuse than anyone else - either as perpetrators or victims.
