Howdy, HPNers!
Our list has had some _major glitches_ in the week or so since we switched
from Majordomo to new software, called Mailman. My apologies. Assessing
the problems has taken days and days.
Posts to HPN from listmembers _now_ finally seem to be getting emailed to
listmembers automatically and Archiving, in a matter of minutes.
For a few days going, a logjam far beyond my understanding did block the
Archives and nearly all postsending until the last day or two. (A handful
of posts that were supposed to "automatically get mailed out" had to be
"pushed through" by what is misnamed "moderator approval"; what the term
means is that the listworker must unblock a post "bounce" for it to get
through.)
Perhaps 18 posts remain jammed (unsent), and I've asked technical helpers
at ASU to try to help to "process" (send or not send) these "bounced"
posts, so that we can clear the decks, as it were, and iron out remaining
glitches. (Soon, I hope to be able to do these listworking tasks myself.)
When you send HPN posts - for the next few days especially - please try to
edit out any attachments and unreadable computer code, which tend to make
emails hugely long, and thus likely to bounce and to possibly add to
postserving glitches.
Short posts, text only - no code, no attachments - seem to work fine for now.
