FATHER MAURICE CHASE TO GIVE OUT $15,000 IN ONE DOLLAR BILLS ON EASTER SUNDAY

LOS ANGELES, April 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Father Maurice Chase, Los Angeles
Catholic priest, former Assistant to the President of Loyola Marymount
University, and Skid Row activist will sleep on the sidewalk beginning at
6:00 p.m. on Holy Thursday, April 20th to protest the lack of beds for the
poor and homeless. His presence in front of the Fred Jordan Mission at 5th
and Towne Streets will end on Good Friday morning at 7:00 a.m.

Father Chase will "give out" on Easter Sunday, $15,000 in one dollar bills
to the poor and homeless on L.A.'s Skid Row!

The "free" money will be handed out at the Fred Jordan Mission at 5th and
Towne Streets beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Easter Sunday.

The Easter gift will be given to the poor and homeless, larger amounts to
mothers with children; and a number of one hundred dollar bills to the
poorest and very neediest.

The Skid Row ministry is financially supported by Mr. and Mrs. Bob Hope,
Mrs. Frank Sinatra, Bob Newhart, Eli Broad, Gregory Peck, Loretta Young,
Mrs. Henry Mancini, Georgia Frontiere, Vin Scully and many others.
